Several thefts over the weekend stung locals and businesses.

A flatdeck truck was pictured on surveillance, loaded with recreational toys, and hauling a custom speedboat from Coldstream Sunday, June 14.

“I am offering a $3,000 reward for info on finding this person, $10,000 if you bring him to me with my stuff,” Michael Klopp posted on Facebook. He has a picture of the truck hauling the items from his shop in Coldstream at 3:22 a.m. June 14.

Klopp talked to someone on Sunday who said they saw the jet boat heading past Scotch Creek towards Seymour Arm.

“It sounds like the truck may have been switched out in Armstrong,” said Klopp.

The truck was involved in a chase near Vernon later on Sunday.

“The cops had a high speed chase after him but let him go for public safety,” said Klopp.

But the Coldstream man was reunited with his custom boat Monday, June 15.

“It was found abandoned on Irish Creek road over a bank, a guy heading to work on Monday morning saw it and called it in, I was so happy I still gave him a reward for calling it in but still in search of the (two) dirt bikes and electric bikes.”

Meanwhile a theft took place at Electric Fat Bike Company Sunday morning, where seven bikes were stolen among other items.

Just prior to these incidents, another business was victim to a major theft June 14 around 1 a.m. and a similar truck was identified in surveillance.

Gilbert Supply Company (Bumper to Bumper) in Vernon was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of Milwaukee tools were stolen.

“The guy knew exactly what he was doing and where to go, making us think he has been in the store a few times,” Tage Gilbert posted on Facebook.

Meanwhile, the truck used in the theft is believed to have been stolen June 8 in West Kelowna.

“This is definitely our F350 flatdeck. Our logo is on the door,” said Karen Walker Verge, who had two similar trucks stolen last week, an F450 and F350 from the civil concrete company GP Slipform Ltd.
