Witnesses are shaken up after a vehicle incident in Kelowna's Tutt Street.

Several witnesses say it was something "out of a movie" when an SUV zoomed passed them hitting a parked car and then flipping on its roof.

The single vehicle incident happened just before 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Tutt Street and KLO Road.

According to those on scene, a white SUV was travelling at a high rate of speed south bound on Tutt when it collided with a parked vehicle.

The SUV reportedly then drove through the intersection, over the median, flipping onto its roof in the middle of a crosswalk.

The driver of the SUV and single occupant was taken to hospital by ambulance.

KLO is currently closed east bound between Pandosy and Richter Street. Debris could be seen scattered throughout the area.
