There is nothing that keen Summerland women can’t do, when they are brought together in the name of community service.

The Quest Society for Hearing and Speech Enhancement is a non-profit women’s service society whose mandate is to improve the lives of the deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired and to aid in the reduction of hearing loss in children and adults.

Since 1997, Quest has raised and donated $140,366 to charities.

Money raised through the bi-annual garden tour of local gardens and the annual Toonie Tree raffle stays in our community.

Bursaries for our graduating students, upgrade of hearing equipment at Centre Stage and help to Summerland secondary students with portable hearing equipment.

These are only a few of the accomplishment of the Summerland Quest Society.

Quest meets the third Tuesday of the month at the meeting room in Parkdale Place, 9700 Brown St., behind the Seniors Drop-Inn Centre, at 2 p.m. The next meeting is on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
