Summerland firefighters respond to late-night fire on Feb. 23

Vehicle and building damaged in blaze

Firefighters in Summerland responded to a car fire just before midnight on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

A pickup truck, parked on Jubilee Road near Sinclair Road, caught on fire.

The fire spread to a nearby structure and two people inside the building were treated.

Assistant fire chief George Pugh said there was some damage to the building as a result of the incident.

Two fire engines, two command vehicles and a crew of 11 firefighters responded.
