Thanks to Parker’s Chrysler this Christmas will be a little brighter for the less fortunate.

Monday afternoon at the Main Street dealership, the Parker’s team donated a Jeep Gladiator full of non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army food bank.

They also made a cash donation as part of the first annual Parker’s Feed the Need in the South Okanagan campaign.

“This is our first year running this campaign. We launched at the Chamber Business After Business event with some great support of chamber members,” said Parker’s general manager Jim Tabler.

During the year, the company collected food items and money and matched the donations.

“This can be a difficult time of year for many and Parker’s created this initiative to get the community involved and help those in need during the holiday season,” said Tabler. “The team plans on making this an annual campaign and build year over year with donations.”

Among those who donated was the Penticton Elks #51. Their members arrived at the dealership and unloaded a full tote of food to support the campaign.
