Landfill hours will be reduced over the winter and the garbage collection schedule will change during the winter holidays. Some communities have added an extra recycling collection week during the holidays. If a missed collection occurs, please contact Waste Connections of Canada at 250-490-3888, 250-498-4888 or toll free at 1-866-998-4888.

While landfills will be open during the holiday season, they will be closed on statutory holidays.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, public meetings, consultations, group and commission meetings are being held electronically. Regional district board meetings are also being held electronically and available to view online.

Please stay safe and do your part to limit transmission of COVID-19 over the holiday season. I hope 2021 brings you health and prosperity,” said Karla Kozakevich, chair of the regional district board.
