Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen building permit statistics show increase in construction

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen issued a total of 56 building permits in June, with a total value of $6,349,907.

The number of permits and the total dollar value are both significantly higher than June, 2019 when 49 permits, worth $3,973,615 were issued.

Of the permits issued, 13 were for single family detached homes, with a total value of $4,247,095.

Three mobile home and manufactured home permits, with a value of $579,410, were also issued.

The regional district also issued 13 permits for accessory uses and 17 for additions, repairs and plumbing.

So far this year, a total of 238 building permits, with a total value of $26,412,623 have been issued.

In the same period a year ago, 264 permits, worth $25,905,336 had been issued.
