Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen adjusts garbage schedule adjusted

Adjustments affect those receiving Friday collection for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has adjusted its garbage collection schedule for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Residents with Friday garbage collection will have their collection shifted one day later to Saturday.

This affects rural residents as well as the village of Keremeos, city of Penticton, municipality of Summerland and town of Oliver.

Collections for those affected will occur Saturday, Dec. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. No other collection dates over the holidays are affected.

Please check with your local curbside calendar for more details. Some communities have added an extra recycling collection week during the holidays.
