Nick Redding, owner of Reddings Roofing, is one of 13 candidates in the upcoming election

A Summerland business owner has put his name forward for a councillor position in the Oct. 15 local government election.

Nick Redding, owner of Reddings Roofing, is one of 13 candidates in the upcoming election.

Redding has lived in Summerland since he was eight years old and has run his business for the past eight years.

“I would approach being a councillor how I run my business,” he said, “with integrity, fairness, honesty and great singing (my opinion). I like to work hard and never shy away from a challenge. Let’s come together and see what we can do as a community.”

The election is for one mayor, six councillors and two Summerland school trustees.
