Recuperating cat gets new home

A cat who was found injured beside a highway and patched up by a Summerland veterinarian has found a new home.

He was treated by Dr. Barrie Hume at the Summerland Animal Clinic after some clients of hers found him beside Highway 3A near Ollala when they were moving to Cawston.

Efforts to locate his owners were unsuccessful. The big fluffy orange cat  has resided at the clinic for several weeks.

Now he has been adopted by a new family and is going home after they return from a Christmas trip.

The clinic staff named him Leon, which is Noel spelled backwards, and considered him their Christmas project.
