The Quest Society of Summerland has been welcomed as a member of the University of British Columbia’s Chancellor’s Circle.

The Chancellor’s Circle society recognizes individuals or organizations which have contributed $25,000 or more to the university.

Lindsay, Gordon, chancellor at the university, said the society is being recognized for its annual bursary.

“Over the last decade, the Quest Society for Hearing Enhancement Bursary has enabled students who would not otherwise have had the financial support to pursue careers in speech sciences and audiology,” she said.

Pat Patton, president of the Quest Society, said the organization now presents three bursaries a year to students at the university.
