Second Kiwanis quiz night raises funds for OSNS

  • Feb. 10, 2019 6:30 a.m.

Penticton’s Kiwanis Club is looking to help out the OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre and have some fun while they’re doing it.

The club is hosting a quiz night on March 7, and they’re challenging the community to put some teams together and participate.

The quiz master will ask teams of up to four people a total of 100 questions, in 10 series of 10 questions each on a range of topics, including sports, history, geography, politics, literature and entertainment.

Team members will consult with each other and record their answer on an answer sheet. The club stresses this is a team event, and players won’t be put on the spot to answer a question on their own.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, with a first prize of $400 sponsored by Providence Funeral Homes.

The event takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 7 at St. Saviours Anglican Church, 150 Orchard Ave.

Registration is $100 per team, in support of the Okanagan-Similkameen Neurological Society and the Development Centre. To sign up your team, call 250-497-2910 or email dougabutton@gmail.com. Pre-registration is advised.
