Summerlanders are invited to share their thoughts on the operation and maintenance of Canyon View Cemetery at a public drop-in session on July 25.
The meeting, at municipal council chambers, will allow the public and stakeholders to view options and submit ideas on how they would like the cemetery operated and maintained.
The meeting came after personal items left on graves had been removed during a recent cleanup effort.
At that time, many expressed outrage and disappointment over what had happened.
“I think people have come to grips with what happened and are moving on,” said Mayor Janice Perrino.
She said the new cemetery bylaw will help to ensure a similar incident will not happen again.
