A Princeton man who called police to report a break in at his home and the theft of his vehicle on November 25 called back the next day to say he’d found his truck.

“The owner of the stolen pick up truck contacted police to say that he had spotted his truck in the ditch at China Ridge Trails,” said Sergeant Barry Kennedy. “Police attended and determined that the truck had attempted to go off road and got stuck. As the vehicle proceeded further down the cliff when it tried to turn it got stuck on a bolder.”

There was minimal damage to the vehicle and nothing was stolen from inside, said Kennedy.

The break in was reported the previous day.
