Police were called to investigate after Summerland Secondary School students made threats on the weekend.

Wendy Hyer, superintendent of the Okanagan Skaha School District said police were contacted by parents after some students had made threats.

The Summerland RCMP detachment investigated the incident over the weekend.

“We believe there is no danger to the school,” Hyer said after the investigation was concluded.

When threats are made, whether to a student, a group of students or a staff member, the school district implements a multi-disciplinary violence risk assessment.

Hyer said school administrators cannot speak to the specifics of the incident at the high school.
