The COVID-19 outbreak is over at Haven Hill long term care centre as the Penticton care home is no longer on Interior Health’s list of outbreaks.

The outbreak at Haven Hill started Oct. 7 with two residents who tested positive.

By Oct. 21, the outbreak had topped out at 12 cases: 10 residents and two staff. Sadly, one resident death is connected to the outbreak.

Another Penticton long term care home continues to struggle with an outbreak although the outbreak has not grown in more than a week.

Village by the Station long term care in Penticton is still on the list for outbreaks with 41 cases: 27 residents and 14 staff, with three deaths connected to the outbreak.
