Effective Feb. 28, the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre no longer acts as a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

After being the go-to place to get COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in Penticton, residents 12 and up can now get their doses at select pharamcies. Appointments for vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 are taking place at the Penticton’s Health Centre at 740 Carmi Avenue.

Interior Health said in a statement on March 2 that the change is being made now that 91 per cent of British Columbians ages five and older have received at least one dose of vaccine. Eighty-six per cent, it said, have had two doses while 51 per cent have had the booster.
