It’s now safe to go back into the water as Osoyoos’ Cottonwood Beach is once more open to the swimming public.

The beach had been closed down after high levels of E. coli were detected in the water earlier in June.

Recent water quality testing had found that recently taken samples were showing satisfactory levels of bacteria in the water.

The swimming advisory had been issued on June 14.
