BC Transit’s NextRide program has now rolled out to the South Okanagan Similkameen.

The system allows transit users to see real-time locations of buses along their routes and to see predicted arrival times at any selected stop.

NextRide will also provide automated announcements for stops onboard the buses to help improve overall accessibility for using the transit system.

The information from NextRide will be provided through the Transit App, as well as Google Maps. The Google Maps update to include real-time information will take time to become active.

The NextRide program uses GPS to track the buses as they move, and it was funded through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
