Mountain passes still getting snow

Snow on the Coquihalla and rain on the valley.

If you’re headed to Vancouver, you may want to think twice about your route as mountain passes are still getting snow.

On the Okanagan Connector, from Kelowna to Merritt, there will be five to 10 cm of snow, though it’s expected to let up near noon. Then it will be mainly cloudy with 60 per cent chance of flurries.

Between the Pennask Summitt to Brenda Mine Road the roads are slushy and slippery.

In the valley below, there is no end to the rain for today. The bulk of it will fall until noon, but even then there is a 60 per cent chance of showers for the rest of the day.

It’s expected to let up tomorrow, and there will be sun and cloud.
