Coun. Erin Trainer will be the council representative and Linda Tynan, Summerland’s administrator, will be the municipal staff representative. Mayor Peter Waterman will serve as chair of the task force.

For more than a year, Waterman has talked about the importance of a task force on the economy.

Shortly after he was elected mayor in November, 2014, he said he would set up a task force with participation from all facets of the community.

“We will be discussing how we can work together to make things happen in Summerland,” he said at the time. “We have a tremendous opportunity here.”
