Get up close with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and SkyHawks are hosting a meet-and-greet at YYF Penticton Airport on Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 10-11 a.m.
This is an opportunity to get up close to one of the Snowbirds’ Tutor aircraft and to speak with a pilot and the SkyHawks parachute team. The Air Cadets will also be on-site, ushering people in groups to view the aircraft. The public will be invited to take photos and request autographs.
This will be set up at the north end of the tower, within a cordoned off area of the tarmac.
The Snowbirds and SkyHawks will also be at Okanagan Lake Park later in the day, from 2-3 p.m., signing autographs.
The SkyHawks perform at 5 p.m. above Okanagan Lake and the Snowbirds will take to the skies at 6 p.m. for their Peach Festival performance.
IMPORTANT: A section of the lake will be closed to all boats, including kayaks, paddleboards and people on floaties, during the event. If anyone is spotted on the lake, the aerobatic show will not proceed.
