Part of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail (KVR) trail, close to the Lakeview Cemetery in Penticton, is temporarily closed for repairs.

The City of Penticton announced Thursday this portion of the trail, between the cemetery and Carder Rd, is in need of repairs caused by recent storm events.

Repairs are expected to be completed by June 26.

In the meantime, a detour has been set up through the cemetery for pedestrians and cyclists, which rejoins the KVR again near the trestle.

“Please be considerate of cemetery visitors and to obey traffic rules while on the road,” said the City.
