Injuries after Highway 97 crash at entrance to Penticton

The Wednesday night crash at Highway 97 and Westminster Avenue left the occupants of one vehicle with injuries, according to the Penticton Fire Department.

According to assistant fire chief Rob Trupp, a collision between a car and a semi-truck took place at 7:46 p.m.

No one was trapped by the crash, however the occupants of the car reportedly suffered unspecified lower-body injuries. It is not known how severe they were.

RCMP, firefighters and B.C. Emergency Health Services responded to the crash and were on scene for close to an hour.

Penticton Towing was called to remove the damaged car.
