Highway 3 is closed west of Osoyoos after a pick up truck burst into flames Tuesday afternoon.

According to one driver who happened on the blaze, people can detour through the industrial park.

The truck caught fire around 3:45 p.m. at Crowsnest Pass. The grass on the shoulder has also caught fire. Emergency vehicles are on route but fire trucks have already arrived, according to one driver.

There is no estimated time of opening. This story will be updated when there is more information.

On Sunday, a motorhome caught fire sending a large black plume of smoke in the air. No one was injured in that blaze. The cause of the fire wasn’t known at this time. That fire closed the highway for a couple of hours.
