Jessica Pugh, 11 years old, had 34 centimetres of her long hair cut off on Saturday.
Her hair was donated to the Angel Hair for Kids Program, a subsidiary of A Child’s Voice Foundation.
The organization provides wigs to financially disadvantaged children in Canada who have lost their hair due to a medical condition or treatment.
Pugh also raised more than $1,200 for cutting her hair.
Pugh’s father, George Pugh, has had colon cancer and recently underwent cancer surgery.
