Fire up Campbell Mountain deemed not a concern

Penticton Fire Department investigated the fire after multiple reports came in

A fire atop Campbell Mountain, seen from Penticton, has been deemed not a concern.

Penticton Fire Department investigated the fire located up Greyback Mountain Road, after multiple reports to BC Wildfire Service.

Before leaving the station at approximately 10 a.m. Friday (July 3) morning, the fire department reported seeing white smoke atop Campbell Mountain, moving slow and dissipating.

Upon arrival they found it was nothing more than a man performing category two burning.

They deemed it not a concern and returned to town.
