Body of ATV’er found in Trout Creek

Police are reporting that the body of a man who went missing after flipping an ATV in the Trout Creek area has been found.

The search for missing ATV passenger David Shackleton in Trout Creek has been suspended and will resume as soon as water levels subside to permit safer conditions for the searchers

Police said the body of a man who went missing after flipping an ATV in the Trout Creek area has been found.

Peachland man David Shackleton, 33, was presumed drowned after falling off his ATV into Trout Creek just west of Summerland on April 16. Police and Penticton Search and Rescue Crews called off the search due to high river flows.

The family continued the search and Shackleton’s body was reportedly discovered by his father on May 15. The body was recovered by search and rescue crews and the coroner also attended. The body was found in Trout Creek approximately 15 kilometres west on Princeton Summerland Road.
