A search warrant executed by Lake Country RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team led to the seizing of 20 guns.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, the search warrant was made at a home on Pheasant Road, at the corner of Russell Road around 11 a.m.
A Black Press Media reporter at the scene that day saw members of the Lake Country Fire Department enter the home in full gear, with gas masks and fans. A fence and windows at the home were also broken.
“The RCMP appreciate the public’s cooperation by staying out of the area and for observing road blocks during that time as this enabled our officers to execute the search warrant in a safe manor for all involved,” said Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Laura Pollock.
At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
