The Lakeshore Racquets Club hosted the 46th Annual Greenwood Tennis Tournament on June 17 and 18.
Despite the flooding issues, organizers were able to keep the courts dry thanks to the efforts of the crews from the Wildfire Branch, the Municipality of Summerland and club volunteers.
Twenty teams took part this year, with participants coming from Kelowna, Kamloops, Oliver, Vernon, Penticton, Victoria and Tsawwassen.
From Summerland 12 members of the club took part, with Doug and Pierre Holmes coming second in the men’s B division and Gail McAuliffe winning the ladies B division with her partner, Vera Bryan of Penticton.
The major sponsor was Greenwood Forest Products of Penticton. SummerGate Winery of Summerland also provided support and many volunteers donated their time.
