The entire Vees team made a surprise trip to West Bench Elementary School to visit one of their biggest supporters. Evan Samoyloff got a chance to spend some time with the Vees and have them brighten his morning.

“Evan’s always upbeat, always positive, and he comes down by our locker before the game and cheers the guys on,” said Vees president and head coach, Fred Harbinson. “We really wanted to go and show him our support this morning. He’s always showing support for us, and we wanted to give him some support back.”

Samoyloff will be heading to Vancouver for treatment soon, so he may miss some of the Vees’ playoff games. But he’ll have the entire team cheering him on along the way.

“He’s there for our guys, before games, between periods,” said Harbinson. “The least we could do is go and support him.”
