Summerland has several events planned for the Family Day weekend.
Summerland Recreation will host its Family Day Self-Guided Photo Scavenger Hunt.
Those participating can download or pick up a scavenger hunt page on Friday, Feb. 14, and return it by Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m. Those who return the completed forms will be entered to win a gift card from Summerland IGA or True Grain Bakehouse.
Each photo submitted will get one entry.
Paper copies of the form can be picked up at the Summerland Recreation and Fitness Centre, Summerland Museum, the Summerland branch of the Okanagan Regional Library and True Grain Bakehouse. Downloadable copies will be available online through the Summerland Recreation Facebook page or at https://www.summerland.ca/parks-recreation/community-events-races/family-day?pname=Family%20Day.
On Saturday, Feb. 15, from 2 to 3:55 p.m., a free Family Day weekend swim will be held at the Summerland Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
On Sunday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. a free Family Day skate event will be held at the Summerland Arena. There will be free skate rentals during this event.
The Kinsmen Club of Summerland, Summerland IGA and True Grain Bakehouse are sponsoring the events.
Family Day, on Monday, Feb. 17, is a statutory holiday in British Columbia.
