The reception centres for evacuees from the Keremeos Creek wildfire will be closed on Aug. 12.
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen announced the closure Friday morning.
Both the reception centre in Penticton and the Village of Keremeos will be closed.
Anyone who still needs Emergency Support Services assistance is asked to instead call 250-486-1890.
The RDOS is also calling for people willing to help who are interested in volunteering with their local ESS teams. The ESS is primarily staffed by volunteers.
For more information about volunteering, you can call the RDOS ESS program at 250-486-1890 or go to the Government of B.C. website’s ESS volunteers page.
