No injuries after mobile home fire on Penticton Indian Band land

No injuries were reported after a fire destroyed a mobile home on Penticton Indian Band land on Nov. 30.

The Penticton Fire Department was called to the scene at 3:49 p.m. Thick plumes of smoke were highly visible in Penticton. 

Crews arrived to find the mobile home trailer fully engulfed by the fire. Flames were easily visible from Green Mountain Road. 

"Crews were able to quickly knockdown the fire, but the trailer was destroyed by the fire," said City spokesperson Shane Mills on behalf of the fire department. 

RCMP and Fortis also responded to the scene.

The Penticton Fire Department remained to assist with primary and secondary searches before turning over command to the Penticton Indian Band Fire Department. 

No injuries were reported.
