A Summerland student received the top mark in a recent Registered Forest Technologist exam.
Rory Smith of Summerland, one of three valedictorians in the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals class, received the top mark in Part A of the exam.
A total of 86 new members were welcomed into the association last week at the Wood is Good 2011 Forestry Conference in Vancouver. Smith is the only Summerland student who took part in the program.
