Santa Claus will make an appearance at the Summerland Legion this weekend.

The Legion will host a lunch on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

Children are invited for a party which includes a colouring contest, face painting, balloon animals and pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus and some of the elves.

“This is a great event for kids, parents and grandparents alike,” said Mike Brazeau, president of the Legion.

“We hope that the Grinch does not show up like last year.”

The event is open to the public. To register, call 250-494-9781. There is no admission fee, although a donation of food or an unwrapped toy for the Summerland Food Bank is appreciated.
