The piano students of Jean Boothe gathered with friends and family at the Summerland United Church for a year-end recital and Food Bank fundraiser.
The young musicians entertained the crowd with a wide variety of music including baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary, jazz, and popular styles.
This year’s recital was particularly celebratory with exciting and confident performances, generous applause, and a light-hearted atmosphere.
When the recital was over, children gathered around the piano trying out other pieces, helped younger siblings have a turn on the keys, and shared many laughs together.
Because the Summerland United Church so generously opened its doors to these fine young musicians and their families, a great time was had by all and resulted in a much needed boost to the Summerland Food Bank shelves.
