Photography exhibit opens at gallery

 

Light Touches in Black and White, featuring photography by Rick Gray opens tonight at 7 p.m. at the Summerland Art Gallery.

At the gallery

Opening Friday, March 18 with a reception beginning at 7 p.m. is the next show in the Main Gallery of the Penticton Art Gallery. Duke and Battersby: Lesser Apes will be on display until May 15.  

There will be an artist talk on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m.

Creativity Camp 

Looking for something to do during spring break?  Check out the Creativity Camp that is being offered both weeks of spring break at the new Shatford Centre.   

Mentored by teens, with guidance from adult mentors and arts professionals, the camps are for children aged six to 12 years to experience and share their creativity together. 

The week of fun builds on individual and group interests in creative expression through the arts. 

Painting, drawing, dancing, drama, games, stories, music-making and imagination all form part of these inspiring sessions. 

Choose mornings 9 a.m. to noon, afternoons 1 to 4 p.m. or full days 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. of fun and creating in either week. Ballet

Ballet Kelowna will be at Centre Stage this Saturday, March19 and The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company presents Wonderland at the Kelowna Community Theatre on Tuesday, March 22 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Seeing signs

Signs of the South Okanagan — literal and figurative signs of the South Okanagan as portrayed by artists Lynne Marand and Sharon Snow will be on display
Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Penticton’s Leir House, 220 Manor Park Ave. until March 30.

Musical comedy 

Kelowna Actors Studio presents the popular Tony Award winning musical comedy, Sweet Charity, beginning next Thursday, March 24.  Plays are Thursday to Sunday evenings, with a Saturday matinee. KelownaActorsStudio.com, or 250 862 2867.
