Photography exhibit continues

Don’t miss your chance to see the photography of Rick Gray on display at the Summerland Art Gallery. The show, Light Touches in Black and White, closes on April 28.  The next show, featuring three artists from Naramata, opens on May 5 at 7 p.m. at the Art Gallery.

At the gallery

See the art of Summerland Secondary School students at the Penticton Art Gallery. 

The group show, Art Is… features the work of high school students, Grades 9 to 12, as well as students from Princess Margaret and Penticton High School. 

The show closes on May 15.

Film series

The Penticton Art Gallery presents a Kitchen Stove Film Presentation, Of Gods and Men, April 21, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., at the Pen-Mar Cinema. 

Tickets are available at the Penticton Art Gallery and the Book Shop (242 Main St., Penticton) or at the door.

On stage

The Peachland Players present:  The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paul Zindel. Play dates are May 5, 6 , 7 and 8  at the 4th  Street Place in Peachland.  

Open house

The Summerland Pleasure Painters will have an open house on April 29 from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. in the lower level of the Summerland Public Library. 

Everyone is welcome to come for coffee and to see what the Pleasure Painters do. 

Musaic concert

Musaic Vocal Ensemble performs Saturday, April 30, 7:30 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Church, Penticton and on Sunday May 1, 2:30 p.m. at Summerland United Church. The music will feature slightly post-Easter works of Bach, Palestrina and others. 

Tickets available at The Sweet Tooth in Summerland, the Penticton Tourist Info Centre and Lifesong Books in Penticton.
