Museum exhibit shows toys

The new exhibit, Young at Heart, opens at the Summerland Museum. See toys from days gone by at the museum, 9521 Wharton St., on Friday, April 29, 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 30, 1 to 4 p.m.

Garage sale

Come and support our Summer Arts Program for children by attending our garage sale at the Summerland Art Gallery on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds of the sale go to support summer arts for children.

At the gallery

Two new shows open at the Summerland Art Gallery on Thursday, May 5. 

In the main gallery, see From Naramata with Love, featuring the work of three artists: wood artist Keith Harvey, painter Bev Inkster and painter Dianne Korsch. 

In the Adams Room, see photographs by Allison Howard in the show, Red Redact

On stage

Progress Theatre Company presents Boom, a play by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, at the Smith and Company Coffee House from May 13 to 15. There are three evening performances and one matinee.  Tickets are available at the door.

Choral music

Musaic Vocal Ensemble presents spring concerts on Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Church, Penticton and Sunday, May 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Summerland United Church.  The music will feature spring pieces and slightly post-Easter works of Bach, Palestrina and others.
