Management seminar held in Summerland

The Canadian Institute of Management, B.C. and Yukon Branch, held its annual conference in Summerland at the end of October.

The Canadian Institute of Management, B.C. and Yukon Branch, held its annual conference in Summerland at the end of October.

The conference, on Oct. 28 and 29, is the first time the organization has held its event outside of the Lower Mainland.

Wilfred Barranoik, of Westrand Consulting Group in Summerland and vice-president of the institute in B.C., said the conference drew members from Vernon, Kelowna, Kamloops, Chilliwack, Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Peachland and Summerland.

The institute was founded in 1940 to provide leadership in management in Canada.
