A fundraising dance on April 9 will raise money for Survivorship, a breast cancer survivor dragon boat team from Penticton.

Boomerbash will feature music from the 1960s to the 1980s.

The music is presented by DJ Alpha Woldenga of Classic Mobile Music.

The dance will be held at Orchard Hall on April 9 from 8 p.m. until midnight.

The event includes door prizes, snacks and a 50/50 draw. Wines from Thornhaven Estate Winery and beer from Cannery Brewing will be available.

The money raised will go towards a future trip for Survivorship. In 2018, the dragon boat team will travel to Italy to compete in a local dragon boat festival.

The team members are also raising funds for breast cancer research and for the Penticton Regional Hospital.

Tickets are available online at www.boomerbash.ca or at Cannery Brewing, 198 Ellis St., Penticton and Shear Expressions Hair Salon, 323 Main St., Penticton.
