Enid Chin receives the People’s Choice Award from Stan Etter

Enid Chin was the winner of the People’s Choice Award at the recent C’est la Vie show at the Summerland Art Gallery. Currently showing at the Gallery are Rick Gray’s photographs in Light Touches in Black and White.

Tuneagers

Penticton Tuneagers present, A Song in our Heart at the Penticton United Church on April 3 at 2 p.m.

Blues band

Steve Kozak and his WestCoast (Blues) All-Stars will perform following the Okanagan Jazz and Blues Society’s annual general meeting on Friday, April 1.

Dancing, silent action and 50/50 draws at this AllStars licensed event.

Irish dance

The Magic of Ireland, a live traditional Irish dance and song show will be presented on Friday, April 8 at the Venables SOSS Auditorium, Oliver. 

Tickets are at the Dragon’s Den, Penticton and at the Penticton Visitors Centre. 

Chamber music

Chamber music, featuring pianist Glen Montgomery, will be held at St. Saviour’s Church, Penticton on April 8 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

Arts program 

The Summer Arts Program is taking registrations for kids three to 13. 

Week-long courses include drama, music, and art. 

Course information is available at SADI, the Art Gallery, and the Summerland Public Library. 

Spring Fling 

Tap your feet to live sounds of music of Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, the Dorsey’s and more. Sponsored by the Summerland Kiwanis Club and featuring Windenharp, Larry Crawford Instrumental and Haute Aire and the Thursday Night Jazz Band. 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Centre Stage Theatre. Tickets at the Summerland and District Credit Union, Summerland Dollar Store and The Sweet Tooth Café.
