Business plan presentation held

Wilfred M. Barranoik will be at Hooked on Books, 225 Main St. in Penticton, on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. to host a presentation on building a business plan. 

Barranoik has more than 30 years of business experience and has worked with Community Futures to provide assistance to those wishing to start a business.

Art club 

Summerland Art Club meets every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the ground floor of the library.

Painters of all levels are welcome to join.

Workshops are available throughout the 10 month session with an Art Show held annually in June.

On stage

Summerland Secondary School presents A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum Feb. 9 to 12 and 16 to 19 at 7 p.m. at Centre Stage Theatre. 

Tickets are on sale at the Beanery and SSS Office or Drama Department.

It is an incredibly funny production filled with wit and charm and students have done and exceptional job this year with everything from costumes, characters and the most impressive set they have ever had at Summerland Secondary School.

A Funny Thing should be a fantastic show for musical theatre enthusiasts or for those who love to laugh.

Immigration

Wolfgang Depner will speak on Immigration in the 21st Century at the next Philosophers’ Café Wednesday, Feb. 16 at the Summerland Art Gallery, 9533 Main St. Events begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Discussion at 7 p.m. Admission by donation. Refreshments available.

Café Noir 

Café Noir will be held on Friday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. It is a fun-filled French affair.

Come and experience a wonderful evening of specialty coffees and sumptuous desserts amid the ambiance of the Art Gallery.

Take home a clay mug handcrafted by members of the Summerland Potters Guild.
