The second annual Giant’s Head Grind, the Christopher Walker Memorial Race, started at Peach Orchard Beach on Saturday afternoon, and ended at the top of Giant’s Head Mountain.

Funds raised will also go towards the upkeep of the trails in Giant’s Head Mountain Park.

The race is organized by the Summerland Rotary Club along with a group of Summerland residents, including Walker’s mother,Ellen Walker-Matthews and her husband Tom Matthews. More than 400 runners took part in the race.
