It's two games in as many nights this weekend for the Penticton Vees, as they welcome a pair of Alberta clubs to the South Okanagan Events Centre.

The Vees host the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Friday, before gearing up for a first-place showdown with the Brooks Bandits one night later.

Here's what you need to know, as Penticton kicks off the month of November:

Blackfalds come to B.C. after biggest win of season

The-once-reeling Bulldogs recorded their biggest win of the 2024-2025 campaign last weekend when they beat the Bandits 4-3 on home ice. It marked Brooks' first loss of the season.

Blackfalds (2-10-0-0) currently has the worst record in the BCHL.

The Bulldogs and Vees met on Sept. 28, with Penticton coming out on top 4-1.

Penticton, Brooks clash in star-studded rematch

The Vees and Bandits will battle on Saturday night at the SOEC, marking the second of six regular-season meetings between the two storied Junior 'A' franchises in 2024-2025.

Second-place Penticton (10-3-0-0) is four points behind Brooks (12-1-0-0) for the top spot in the Interior Conference, entering Friday's slate of BCHL games.

The teams met on Sept. 27, with the Bandits outlasting the Vees 4-1.

Brooks has two of the BCHL's top five scorers this season, as Parker Lalonde and Nathan Free have registered 18 points each through 13 games.

Penticton, meanwhile, is led offensively by Ryden Evers and Anselmo Rego, who have both notched 14 points in the early goings of the campaign.

Vees look to remain perfect at home

Following a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory over Vernon on Oct. 26, the Vees return to the SOEC this weekend with their perfect home record on the line.

Penticton is 5-0-0-0 on home ice this season.

Parents Weekend at the SOEC

It's Parents Weekend in Penticton, as players' family members visit the Peach City and cheer on the Vees.

Also, this weekend is "Feed the Need" night, with fans encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to Friday's game in support of Penticton's Salvation Army and Summerland Food Bank. The event was planned in partnership with IGA.
