The Santa Claus Parade is coming to town on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 4:30 p.m. with dozens of floats expected to cruise down Main Street in celebration of the festive season.

“After a two-year hiatus, the city of Penticton is pleased to bring back the Santa Claus Parade to town,” says Mayor Julius Bloomfield. “A tradition for more than 20 years, this is a chance for the community to once again come together during the festive season. For some, it will rekindle memories of old, for many others, it will be a chance to create new memories, and for all of us, it’s an opportunity to embrace the spirit of the season.”

Any business or organization interested in entering a float into the parade is invited to apply before 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022. All details, including float requirements, safety reminders and application forms, can be found on the City’s website at penticton.ca/santaparade.

The City of Penticton is looking to recruit volunteers to assist with the return of the parade. Duties include barricade intersection control, marshalling assistance and parade route support. If interested, please email shawna.guitard@penticton.ca or call 250-609-2445.
