Those in attendance at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Friday, April 8, were treated to Irish dance and music while being mesmerized by grand illusions.
Critically-acclaimed touring act Celtic Illusion made a stop in Penticton to show off some new choreography and never-before-seen magic.
The performance combined both elements of the artform and even included some musical scores inspired by “Michael Jackson in Broadway-style,” according to the act’s biography.
Celtic Illusion, created by Australian-born Anthony Street in 2011, arrived in Canada for the first time in 2020, which included an appearance at the SOEC in February.
The cast of multi-talented performers is currently on their Reimagined Tour to celebrate the act’s 10th-anniversary.
Penticton is the fourth Canadian city in 2022 to welcome the Celtic Illusion.

Members from both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, along with Street, collaborated on Friday night to make the production come to life for the South Okanagan audience.
The act’s appearance marks the start of a busy month at the SOEC.
Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick and Penticton Vees playoff hockey will all be featured at the venue in April.
