A “captivating, frenetic and fuzzed-up” brand of music is coming to Oliver to wrap up the spring.
Juno award-winning alternative country band Elliot BROOD is coming to Venables Theatre on June 9, as part of the 2022 Out and About Tour.
The Hamilton, Ont., trio received national acclaim in 2013 after the release of Days Into Years, capturing a Juno Award as a result of the album’s release.
“Their style has been called everything from ‘blackgrass’ to ‘death country’ but those descriptions don’t capture the transcendent heights of their unique approach to roots music,” Venables Theatre said about the alternative trio.
Elliot BROOD band has been nominated for a total of five Juno awards since its formation in 2002, releasing seven studio albums in the process.
The band’s Venables Theatre show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are being listed on the theatre’s website for $30, with people eligible for a pre-sale discount price on Wednesday (March 23) when registering before 10 p.m.
