Imagine finding inspiration for your next novel while sipping a coffee and looking at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
The Wine Country Writers Festival in Penticton is offering a writers’ retreat in the ancient city from April 16 to 23.
Wine Country Writers’ Community organizers Faye Arcand and Jim Jackson have organized this once-in-a-lifetime trip where you’ll stay in a hotel in the heart of Athens, take writing classes, tour the immediate areas, eat fantastic foods and experience a retreat away from the ordinary.
Arcand was the organizer of the first and also successful Wine Country Writers Festival at the Lakeside Resort in Penticton in September.

She said this retreat is a group trip but very much at the pace of each individual.
Athens, Greece is a beautiful and ancient city that is both fascinating and inspiring to visit. It’s easy to get around on foot as you mosey through the markets or work your way slowly up to the Acropolis.
“This is a group trip for individuals. The choice is yours as to where you go, what you do, or how much you choose to mingle. This is your writing retreat,” said Arcand.
Jonas Saul is a bestselling author and writer of more than 50 crime/thriller novels. He is also the chief editor, literary agent, and sought-after speaker who will be sharing his expertise and advice throughout the retreat.
Saul is a Canadian who now lives in Greece.
The deadline to register and put down a deposit is Nov. 30.
